Focus on commercial lighting product design and manufacturing.

Readings Emporium

Designed by the team at Kerstin Thompson Architects, the Readings store is a light-filled, beautiful reading space with traditional beautiful windows and plenty of seating for reading and reflection.

This bookstore uses light to enhance emotional and behavioral responses. The primary goal of lighting is to provide a space that feels calm and comfortable, as if one could live in it. It's also important to make the product the focus; after all, they sell books for a living.

The highlight of the project is a massive 35m x 3m unique multi-light frame that unfolds along the main bookshelf walkway. This is an innovative and complex lighting system, which can also be said to be a large display grid that cleverly introduces lighting elements. The designs are conceived as a series of free-standing furniture creations that incorporate light fixtures into the cabinets, showcasing the perfect integration of light into interior spaces.

Lights softly illuminate public benches, secluded reading nooks and other secret nooks, encouraging people to escape reality and immerse themselves in it. The children's area is more warm and interesting, using natural light and extensive artificial lighting to create an outdoor leisure atmosphere.
